FOODIE OF THE MONTH : MISS TINA FRATNIK

Every month I focus on one foodie whose knowledge and passion for food is surreal

Indie Short Film Director, Commercial-film AD and Screenplay Writer Tina Fratnik wears many hats. But whilst her passion is cinema it is safe to say her obsession is food.

I know many people who travel across town for that perfect burger or great pizza. My great-grandmum was such an ardent foodie that she would travel to the neighboring state of Gujarat for a meal of Ponkh and Undhiya during winter but Tina wins the competition. This foodie crosses country borders to eat at her favorite restaurant for lunch or get the best bread at a great  local boulangerie. Two days ago she was holidaying in Sweden and drove across to Denmark to eat a 22 course meal lunch at her favorite restaurant Geranium and drove back to Sweden. She plans her holidays around the restaurants she wants to visit and her maps have all the best eateries, cafes and shops.

A Slovenian citizen, Tina painstakingly documents her food travels but refuses to blog or tweet these images but was sweet enough to give me permission (there might have been some rough bullying involved) to do so on her behalf. She picks establishments that follow through on great quality of food and for her no price is to great to pay for Epicurean delights.

Truly a Gourmet and Gourmand.
